1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how RevealEstate (“RevealEstate”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects and uses personal data when you use our web application. By using RevealEstate, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

3. Scope
This Policy applies to all users of the RevealEstate app. It covers account creation, browsing and managing listings, and contacting us. It does not cover third-party sites or services.
4. Data We Collect
4.1 Data you provide
- Account data: email address and password (stored in hashed form).
- Profile/usage data: saved properties, searches, or other preferences you choose to store.
- Content you submit: listing details, descriptions, images, or other materials you upload.
- Support/communications: any message you send to us.
4.2 Data collected automatically
- IP address and general device information
- browser type, operating system, app version
- timestamps and pages/screens viewed
- security and diagnostic logs
4.3 Sign-in methods
- Current method: email/password.
- Google sign-in (to be enabled):“If you choose to sign in with Google, we will receive from Google the email address and basic profile information needed to create or link your RevealEstate account. We will not access your Google contacts or other Google data without your separate consent.” This data will be used only to authenticate you and operate your account.
4.4 No push, no device location
We do not currently collect mobile push notification tokens. We do not currently collect precise GPS/device location. We may still use IP-based location for security and service integrity.
5. How We Use Your Data
We use personal data to:
- provide and operate the App and your account;
- secure the App, detect abuse, and prevent unauthorised access;
- store and display your listings and preferences;
- respond to your requests;
- improve and monitor performance;
- comply with UK legal obligations.
6. Legal Bases (UK GDPR / UK Data Protection Act 2018)
- Contract: operating your account and delivering core features.
- Legitimate interests: service security, diagnostics, and improvement.
- Consent: for features that are clearly optional (for example, when Google sign-in is offered, or future analytics/marketing if implemented).
7. Firebase and Hosting
RevealEstate runs on Google/Firebase services, which may include Authentication, Firestore/Database, Storage, and logging/monitoring. These providers may process data outside the UK, including in the EEA or US. We rely on the data protection terms offered by Google/Firebase and on appropriate transfer safeguards.
8. Cookies and Local Storage
We may use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, protect the service, and remember limited preferences. You can change your browser settings, but some features may not work.
9. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share personal data with:
- IT and cloud service providers that host or support the App;
- professional advisers where necessary;
- authorities where required by law;
- a buyer/successor in case of a business transfer;
- third parties where you have explicitly instructed us to do so.
10. International Transfers
Because we use cloud infrastructure, your personal data may be processed outside the UK. Where this occurs, we will rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent protections offered by our providers.
11. Retention
- account data: for as long as your account is active;
- logs/diagnostics: for a limited period needed for security and troubleshooting;
- support messages: for as long as needed to resolve the issue and for audit;
- backups: for the backup retention cycle.
Data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.
12. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate for a Firebase-backed web application, including HTTPS and access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
13. Your Rights (UK)
You may request:
- access to your personal data;
- correction of inaccurate data;
- deletion of your data where applicable;
- restriction or objection to certain processing;
- a copy of your data in a portable format.

14. Children
RevealEstate is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Contact us if you believe we have done so.
15. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change. Material changes will be signalled within the App. Continued use means you accept the updated Policy.
